2009 Mazda MX-5

The 2009 Mazda MX-5 was the car that marked the 20th anniversary of the roadster, and it did not disappoint those that were in the market to purchase the new car. The interior was also changed for this year of the Mazda MX-5. Mazda relied on past customer experience with the MX-5 and changed the interior slightly to what the consumer wanted in a sports car. The car has a feel of being snug to the driver, however, not so tight that they cannot perform well. Plus, the color of the interior dashboard was changed from black and to silver to give a more sporty while classy look that drivers found to be a winning aspect of the car.

When designers were designing the new MX-5 they also made the car sound better, however, made sure to not make the sound annoying to those that were outside of the car. The engine was tweaked to give better performance when the gas was pressed on, while also making sure that the sound was all sports cars. The designers also focused on the comfort and quietness of the road by including sound barriers in the doors to make the road noise that drivers use to hear no longer there. This was considered one of the biggest improvements of the MX-5.

The safety of the car was also improved, putting in tire pressure monitoring systems as well as stability control on top of the other standard safety features.
